Sending a Homeowner an estimate
Overview
Before work begins, you can submit an estimate through the HouseAmp platform for review and approval. No work should start until the estimate has been approved. This is step one of the three-step Service Pro workflow: Estimate → Accept Project → Invoice.
Steps to Send an Estimate
| 1. Click on the homeowner in your dashboard |
| 2. Open the relevant project and click "Send Estimate" |
| 3. Enter the line items for each scope of work — description, quantity, and unit cost |
| 4. Review the total and add any notes for the homeowner |
| 5. Click "Submit Estimate" — the homeowner is notified for review |
What Happens Next
| ✅ If approved: You will be notified to proceed. See the next step: Accepting a Project. |
| 🔄 If revision requested: You will receive feedback and can resubmit an updated estimate |
⚠️ In platform estimates are NOT mandatory and do not impact your invoice payment.
